HIIPE.io SAS ("HIIPE") lets creators build and contact their own fanbase. This page explains how to have your data deleted, whether you are a fan who interacted with a creator, or a creator who connected an Instagram account to HIIPE. No account or login is needed to make a request.

1. Who this page is for

  • Fans: you submitted one of a creator's forms (a Capture Link), or you commented on, or sent a message to, a creator's Instagram account that is connected to HIIPE.
  • Creators: you have a HIIPE account and connected your Instagram professional account, or you want your whole HIIPE account and its data deleted.

2. How to request deletion

Email privacy@hiipe.io with the subject line "Data deletion request" and include:

  • the name or Instagram handle of the creator you interacted with, if you know it;
  • the email address, phone number, or Instagram username you used, so that we can find your record.

We will not ask you for more information than is needed to find your record. You do not need to explain why you are asking.

3. What happens next

  • Within 48 hours you receive an acknowledgement with a reference number.
  • Deletion is completed within 30 days of your request, as required by the GDPR, and we confirm it by email. In practice most requests are completed within a few days.
  • At any time, reply to the acknowledgement email quoting your reference number to ask for the status of your request. If any part of the data cannot be deleted because the law requires us to keep it, we tell you which part and why.

4. If you interacted with a creator on Instagram

When a creator connects their Instagram account to HIIPE, HIIPE can reply on their behalf to comments and messages, and add you to that creator's fanbase. Every automated reply says that it is automated and carries a "Powered by HIIPE" line. HIIPE receives only your Instagram username and identifier, the content of your comment or message, and the time of the interaction. HIIPE never receives your email address or phone number from Instagram, and a comment or message on Instagram never allows the creator to send you SMS or email.

You did not authorise HIIPE yourself, so HIIPE does not appear in your own Instagram settings. To stop any further interaction, block or restrict the creator's account on Instagram, or simply stop commenting on and messaging that account. To have the data already collected deleted, email us as described in Section 2, or ask the creator directly.

5. If you are a creator who connected an Instagram account

  • Disconnect Instagram from HIIPE: in your HIIPE account settings, disconnect the Instagram account. Your access token is deleted immediately and HIIPE stops receiving any data from that account.
  • Remove HIIPE from Instagram: in the Instagram app, open your settings and remove HIIPE under Apps and websites. Meta then revokes HIIPE's access and HIIPE deletes the token.
  • Delete your HIIPE account and all its data: email privacy@hiipe.io as described in Section 2, from the email address of your HIIPE account. Fan data you collected is deleted with it, in accordance with the Data Processing Agreement.

Disconnecting or removing HIIPE stops future processing. It does not, by itself, delete the data already collected: for that, use the email request in Section 2.

6. What gets deleted

Your contact details, your interaction history, and the content of any comments or messages processed on the creator's behalf. Independently of any request, the content of Instagram comments and messages is deleted 30 days after it is received. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, for example the record that you asked not to be contacted again, so that you are not contacted again.

7. Who controls your data

The creator you interacted with is the data controller for your data; HIIPE acts as their processor. You may address your request to either of us. If you write to HIIPE, we act on the request and inform the creator. Details of both roles are in our Privacy Policy.
